resetting icloud password
I can’t find a way of resetting the icloud password. Originally set on an ipad air 2 but promptly forgotten (and not written down, either). Another case of CRS!
Just purchased a Mac mini, late 2014, Yosemite 10.10.5.
Had to reinstall OS. Took forever. When it did, I think I told it to use icloud password on the setup. Now it won’t let me sign on since I don’t know the password.Changed my apple password TWICE trying to change my icloud password. Nowhere have I found how to reset the icloud password on the apple site.

Your iCloud account uses an Apple ID username and password to sign in. You can reset it at appleid.apple.com. If you can’t get it, I’d recommend contacting Apple. https://www.apple.com/contact/ (Go down to Product and Services Support and look for the correct number there).

It took me all day but I finally “GOT ER DONE”! Finally found a site that walked me through entering computer code which reset the start up screen. That allowed me to make a new admin password which allowed me to start the ball rolling, thank goodness.
Now all I have to do is solve all the other issues. (Film at eleven).
