  • Reset a slipped clip to original position (without history or undo)?

Just wondering about this. I do a lot of slip adjustments and it’s usually fine, but was wondering if there’s a “safety” command that will reset the slip if needed. I know I can do it manually, and also in undo and history (which only helps if the slip was done immediately).

Speaking of history, just a comment, it’s sort of irritating that every slip and every track toggle fills up the history panel. I wish there was a way to tell it to skip the track toggle, and also to “nest” the slip commands so that it shows as one command, with steps, and does not wipe out all your earlier changes.

No replies – I’m guessing that means the answer is ‘no you can’t do that.’
Not a big deal – best backup then would be to keep lots of backup copies of the sequences (I do anyway), and make sure the source clips are well marked with markers.
    Alrighty then.
I know i”m blowing up the board with these things but it’s always the little stuff that drives you nuts!
