Resassembling Preview Files
I lost a drive with original files of a project.
However, two sets of AVI rendered files still exist with segments of those two lost files.
Premiere gives exotic names to these 28 files, but nothing sequential, apparently. However, I copied the existing rendered files into a new directory in the order in which they were created by date/time.
However, when I imported these files into Premiere 2, they are ordered according to “Name”, but there seems no way to organize them into the raw date/time sequence.
I could go through and just give each a single number, I suppose, but wondering if anyone has any other ideas, other than bringing them in one at a time.
I brought them in as a single folder of files.

I believe this will rename your files based on date and time. I used it a long time ago for some raw camera pictures.
Hope you can make use of it.
