Still hoping someone might have some recent experience with importing aaf from media composer 7.

Basically, this doesn’t work. The import process starts, but freezes up after a brief moment and that’s it. Force quit, reboot, restart, export the aaf again etc etc etc. Same deal every time.

The only work-around I’ve found is via Resolve: import all media first into the media pool, then import the aaf on the edit page (does not work if I don’t import the media first). Audio however comes over completely garbled requiring a separate audio export from MC.

Is this an Avid issue or is it simply broke in PrProCC? It has been for quite awhile now….

    Cheers,
    Clay

    Hi Kevin,

thanks for the reply and link. Yeah, I read that one. I was hoping there had been some progress…

In the meantime, I think I’ll just stick with my DaVinci solution. From there, I can create a timeline that imports into Premiere easily.

Hope this one gets fixed soon though, it is a mission critical bug.

    Cheers,
    Clay
