Replae BLUE text with black
I’m brand new to Premiere, literally only working with it for 5 hours, and I have a little experience with photoshop 6.0, so you’ll have explain things to me like I’m a baby…
What I need to do is to remove some text from an existing video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sik81_c7M7o&feature=relatedIt’s not that exact video, but close enough. I need to get rid of the “Star Trek” text and all the stars of the show.
I just need something quick and dirty. I’d like to just replace the blue with black if possible. This will a very rough copy to illustrate an idea.
I have no idea where to start. Any input would be appreciated.

I would try using the Color Replace effect (under Keying). If you need to limit the area where black is replaced with blue so that it only affects the text and not lots of other black stuff elsewhere on the screen (I didn’t watch your footage so I don’t know), you can use a 4-point Garbage Matte to combine a version of the footage with the Color Replace on it and a version that’s unaltered. Well – if’s like the footage you linked – you can pretty much just cut in black video over the titles. If the stars passing by are important – you might just make your own and dissolve them in and out.
