Is there a quick way of replacing video footage in a time line while keeping the same settings? I know by selecting the video layer you want to replace in the time line, then option + draging the new video into the time line it will replace that video and maintain the settings, but can you do this for more than one clip at a time? I have 100+ clips I’m looking to replace but keep the settings and was wondering if there was a quicker way of doing it.

    Thanks for the help,
    Scooter

do you mean 100 instances of the same footage? if so, you can just re-load the footage in the Project window using the new source footage.

If each layer has different footage, then I can’t see how this would be possible, as AE wouldn’t know which footage to pull in for each layer.

If your goal is to apply the same settings to a bunch of layers, then you could save a set of properties as an animation preset and then apply the animation preset to the various layers.
