Hi guys, I have a question about shot replacement workflow.
I have a feature that was cut in FCP that I’ve graded in Resolve. Two reels had a couple VFX shots that I had to replace after grading. I created a duplicate of the project by doing “save as” in the config tab, then I manually replaced the shots by editing them in and deleting the original shots in the session in the conform tab. This worked fine but I imagine there must be a more elegant way of doing this, unfortunately, none of the documentation I read gave me a good handle on the subject.
One thing to note. The original shots in my session were pieces of longer media files, whereas the vfx shots were cut-to-cut so media duration and timecode do not match.

PS. Is there a way to make a duplicate of a session within a project?

    Thank you,
    Roman
