Hi – I have an avi movie (as more of an animation than a video) of a 3d town plan. If you could imagine a grayscale illustration shown from above, which rotates to show all angles of the raised buidings, you would be close to how it looks.

It is made up of only black, white and grey so is pretty ugly. Is it possible to select each slab colour and replace it with another in Final Cut Pro? I would like to be able to replace the grey with pink and black with purple etc, to suit it to the coporate colours of a company we will be presenting to. I am guessing that it would involve the pipet tool and some colour correction but I’m just not sure how to do it after a few attempts

Or, in fact, with After Effects?

    Any help much appreciated.

    thanks in advance,

    Dave

Using the regular color corrector (not the 3 way) you can use the ‘limit effect’ pop down menu to select (using the eye dropper) the color you want to effect with your changes. This will allow you to do one at a time and then try using blue green keyer to stack the comps on top of themselves and isolate the new colored elements to create a new whole. good luck
