  • Replacing Canon C300 MkII proxy files with 4K

I’ve done 75 shoots with my Canon C300 Mk II. The camera creates 4K files on CFast and HD Proxy files on SD. I’ve saved all 4K and Proxy files. But for simplicity, I did my daily edits from the proxy files and released them. The quality was good enough for my purposes. Now I need to replace all the proxy footage with 4K. I see lots of methods to “create” proxy files from 4K, do an offline edit, then switch to the original 4K files afterward. But I have used the proxy files created in the camera. So… in that case, what is the easiest workflow to replace the original proxy files with 4K. Each day has about 75 clips. 75 days. You can do the math.
Appreciate any help you guys might have for me.

    Hi,

Forgive me if this is oversimplified… but can’t you just offline all media then relink it to the original? Can all be done from the right click menu in the project window.

Next time I would let Premiere make the proxies.
