  • replacing black frames to remove “blinking” in video file

    Dear all,

I have been recording powerpoint presentations but have encountered a big problem. For whatever reason, the videos “blink” when I play them. There are black frames which shouldn’t be there. So my question: Can I someone use the frame just before the black frames and replace the black frames with them? I am complete novice with FFmpeg, but I would be very grateful for any advice. I understand that FFmpeg can detect black frames but I am not sure how I would replace them with the previous ones to “fill the gaps” in my movies. Thanks a lot.

This forum is pretty quiet and I just popped in to post the answer to my question in case someone else asks. Not to be a jerk to the cow, but I found lots of help on the reddit ffmpeg forum. Good luck!
