Replacing Audio in a Clip in Project Manager
Hello everyone,
I’m having a bit of an issue with my audio in Premiere Pro CS6. I have a long clip (video and audio) that is used many times in my sequences. I edited (gain and noise reduction) the audio of the entire clip in Audition (using Edit in Adobe Audition – Clip from the Project Manager), and my modified audio is currently “clipname Audio Extracted” with the original audio still in the clip. Is there a way I can replace the audio of that clip such that it changes all of the references to it as well?
I’ve tried merging the original clip with the modified audio, which makes a merged clip with the correct video and audio, but I have no idea how to replace all references of my original clip with references to the new merged clip. There could be other ways around this as well.

I have an idea how to do this, however it may not be the best solution. Assuming you are completed with your sequence, you could highlight the clips throughout and do a render and replace audio. The new audio should show up in your project panel. Right click the new audio and click replace footage. Point it to your audio file you created from Audition. That should update the clip with your new audio.
