  • Replacing a Medie Drive (capture drive)

I’d like to replace my 300 GB media drive (capture drive) with new 1TB drive.
I assume I have to name the new drive by the same name as 300 GB drive to
avoid problem when I open a (don’t want to go through relinking all those files)
project again after replacement was done.

But how exactly is this done? Mac OS probably will not allow me to format
new drive with the same name, or it will?

    Here’s how its done…

    1) Format the new drive and give it a temporary name,

    2) Copy all the directories and media from the old drive to the new drive

    3) Rename the old drive

    4) Rename the new drive using precisly the same name as the old drive.

    Enjoy!!!
