    Hello,

I’ve made an animation, then added special effects with Final Cut Pro. I’ve got the full animation with the effects in the timeline.

Now, I’ve been asked to translate the animation in another language. I’ve done it, but I had to use the original animation (without any effects) in order to do better lip-syncing.

Basically I got the same exact track, just in another language. Is there any way to replace the new animation with the old one, in the Final Cut Project, so I get the same special effects?

    Thanks

Did you try Copying the Attributes of the effects heavy Animation to the Translated one?

Right click on your first Animation (with effects) and click on COPY in the menu window
Right click on your translated Animation and click PASTE ATTRIBUTES in the menu window

In the Paste Attributes window click on the Video Attributes you want to paste to the Translated clip and press OK.

    hope that helps

or go the other way round … copy the new clip, then go to a duplicate of your effected sequence and select the track to replace and choose paste attributes > content
