replaceClip failed Error
We have a client that is receiving the following error in CatDV:
replaceClip failed (Data truncation: Data too long for column ‘history’ at row 1)
This error is occurring when trying to modify 18 of 2000 clips that were archived. Any idea what this error might be related to?

It’s a SQL error I believe. Can you offer some info on your system? Are you running MySQL?
If so, you might need to contact your sysadmin or support and have them clean up your db. That’s the first step I’d take.

This is a known bug. It has been corrected in the latest versions. If you are running the latest version, then it is a new bug. You should contact squarebox support.

Thanks for this Sebastien. Do you know the versions affected, or at least when the fix hit?
I’ve not seen this but CatDV is one app that I do trust the upgrades on and try to keep as current as possible.

It was around version 10.0 that I had that problem if I remember well. But it might have been in one of the latest 9.x versions. I’m not sure anymore.
