how do i replace a clip in the timeline but keep its settings and effects?

for example they have a speed change to 50% so i want a new clip to be put in the same place with the same length but not having to change it to 50% before applying. i have many shots to do so it would be helpful.

    thanks.

Can’t do it. You need to adjust the speed first.

You also can’t drop a clip in the same spot and have the effects from the clip you are replacing then apply to the new clip.

the only method to do this is to use “Paste Attributes” (Option-V)
then choose to paste ‘Content’ only
