  • Replace with clip + clips with speed changes

Posted by Weston Jones on February 24, 2017 at 10:11 pm

I’m trying to replace clips in my sequence with updated source material but right clicking on the clip, replace with clip. Using both “from bin” or “source monitor, match frame”, I am unable to replace the clip to match the frame. The clips in the sequence have speed ramping done to them.

If i replace the footage entirely, its fine. But I dont want to do that because some clips have to stay.

There has to be a way to replace footage that has speed edits?

    Hey Weston,

Sorry to ask you to go through the trouble but would you be willing to do a screen recording illustrating the issue? I’d to get this resolved for you but I need to make sure I understand the problem first.

If you have the time, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks,

Tried this on windows 10 /11.0.2
    Cannot reproduce.
Replace clip from SM match frame works as advertised even on time remapped clip in the timeline.

Same here. Seems to be working as expected.

Here is a link to a great write-up and video on how the replace feature works.
