  Replace with after effects compositon issues

  I am having issues with the Replace With After Effects Composition when sending a still image (photo) from Premiere Pro timeline. For some odd reason the blend mode does not show up in After Effects. I have not had issues with quick time movies. Is there a setting that may be wrong or is anyone else experiencing this too? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy 4th of July!
