“Replace With After Effects Composition” Not Working
Hi, guys.
When I have footage in my Premiere timeline and I go “Replace with After Effects composition, it opens up After Effects with a blank canvas – meaning, the footage from Premiere isn’t opened in After Effects. I’m not sure what’s going on. I trashed my Premiere preferences, but am getting the same behaviour. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks.

I’m not sure if this will help, but you might try uninstalling and reinstalling both apps through CC.

After Effects is 2015.0.1 & Premiere is 2015.2. I’m having problems with Creative Cloud right now, so can’t check if these are the very latest of each.

Premiere Pro is currently 2 and After Effects is 2.1

No problem. You do realize there’s a website where you can grab the updates. It’s legitimate, not a torrent or pirate site, recognized and approved by Adobe.
