It’s time to replace the system disk on our Mc Pro. It runs FCP7. I have a TimeMachine on the Mac Pro.

The machine has three or four bays, for easy handling of disks. What SSD do you recommend?
Also, can I just move the original system disk to a free bay, and it will show as “external” and thus let me easy copy documents and staff to the new system disk?

My main concern is that I want to have the OS install on physical media. DVD and/or USB.
It is a corporate machine and I’m not sure I can buy from the Mac App store… I guess that if I someday need to re-install, I need internet-access. and if OSX won’t start, I have no access to the store.

Will FCP7 and Aja IoHD work under 10.8 (or 10.7)?
