Is there a way to replace all instances of source footage with a dynamically linked After Effects composition?

I can replace a single instance of footage in a timeline by right clicking, “replace with clip” / “from source monitor” (if I put the AE comp in the source monitor before hand). But I’m trying to replace ALL instances of the clip.

If I right click on the source clip in the project panel and go to “replace footage” I can only select other footage (selecting an AE project file results in a “general error” — no options to select an AE comp).

If anyone’s familiar with AE, I’m looking for a Premiere Pro equivalent of the following behavior: in the project panel I can hold ctrl+alt and drag COMP A onto COMP B — this will replace all instances of COMP B with COMP A.

I’m aware I can export the AE comp and import it, etc, but I’m trying to do with via dynamic link.

    Any help would be appreciated.
