  • replace graphic and or text

    Experts and Wizards:

I sometimes create either a graphic or text from another program (text from Title Motion Pro). Then I add the effects, placement, fade, etc to it. Then I might have to replace the file with another one later.

On another NLE (DPS Velocity) all we had to do is highlight either the text or graphic and right click and hit replace and it would replace the old file with the new file with all the existing settings that I already decided on.

Is there a way to do this in Vegas 7? I can’t seem to figure it out.

    Thanks for your help!!!! James

close the project. delete the old file. open the project and replace media with new version.

there’s prob a faster way, though

That would work. However what I’m trying to do is to keep that file and replace it with another one.

Right now I have a customer that has some videos with one set of copyright info and and another set of videos with different copyright info. I have several things I need to replace.

So, hopefully there is another way. Thanks, James

Right-click the media in the Project Media tab and choose Replace.

Gary that sounds like a good solution. Will that replace that file in all other veg files or just the one I am working on?

    Thanks for your help, James
