“Replace File” function in Project browser not working
Hi,
I need to replace a file in my project browser bin. (command + H) I have moved the source media into an external. For some reason it is not allowing me to do this. i can select the file, open the replace file menu, select the file and it still appears as a “bars and tones” missing media icon.
What’s up with this? I had to move my source media onto an external drive but assumed that i could reconnect or at least replace the footage easily. The functions are there to do this but they are not functioning.

Not sure, but this sounds more like a generic system problem. Seems to me the OS does not handle the drive paths properly and does not give access. Might also be a problem with user permissions.
