Copy the clip being replaced first using CMD+c.

Replace the clip. Right-click (or CTRL+click if you are of the one-button mouse persuasion) on the new clip in the timeline and select
“Paste Attributes” from the drop-down that appears. Tick the “Filters” box. Hit “Ok”.

That should do it. There are some cases where keyframed events don’t paste in, however. Let us know if it doesn’t work right, with details on how it’s not working right, and we can come up with other options that suit your needs.
