Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Replace clip and leave effects?

    Two ways of doing this.

    1. Select the clip and hit copy. Use REPLACE to edit in the new shot. Right click on the clip and hit PASTE ATTRIBUTES and select Filters Motion etc.

    2. Open clip you want to insert in the viewer. Mark it up. Hit COPY. Go to old clip in timeline and right click on it and select PASTE ATTRIBUTES and select Content.

    When using Replace Edit, make sure there are NO In or Out points set on your timeline. Your playhead and the footage in the viewer determine what and where will be Replaced. Once you figure it out, Replace edit is a great tool.
