Here’s the scenario: I recorded a 53 minute video segment via firewire to a recorder attached to my tape based camera. After exporting the file from the recorder and then importing it to Vegas, it is recognised as a 53 minute event on the timeline. It plays for a bit, but appears to lose 16 minutes. There is a whole chunk missing, and Vegas still sees it as 53 minutes long. Go figure.

The source file seems to play back fine in media player, but VLC media player had some minor issues playing it back, which led me to believe the file is partly corrupted. I then tried to import the file into Premiere, but it hung on import, confirming my suspicions.

Does anyone know of an m2t repair tool?

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 12 (x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6
