Is it possible to repair a corrupted AVI file? The recording device froze after 1 hour, but was recording fine for first 30-40 min. I would like to be able to cut the end off and recover the rest of the file if possible?????

I have not tried this, but I have been told the following.

You can open the file in a binary editor, and replace the header and footer with one from another file of like project settings. If you can decern the image data from header/footer, then you could trim out any errored info where the recording failed.

Clearly you would want to try this on a copy of your file. Google turns up a bunch of repair tools that are likley just doing what is described above. Watch out for malware, and scan anything you try with Windows defender, and malware bytes before installing.
