Renders jitter or show same clip over and over…
So, I never had problems rendering. I had source video, though, lower resolution. All of a sudden, I can’t put bottom thirds on there or do transitions without it going…crunch. The preview screen goes first during the edit and then during the render I get the same 5 seconds of video as the audio prattles on or the video just stutters.
I want the higher res for editing because I zoom in plenty, but if it is going to do this….I’m going to have to do a plan B. Any troubleshooting hints?

When I have phenomena like that, it is always due to the GPU being used but not functioning in harmony with the CPU as it should. You can check that quickly by prohibiting the use of the GPU in Options\Preferences\Video. It gets worse as you add effects, transitions etc.

A solution that might work, is that whenever you are ready to do your final renders,
simply restart Vegas, load back your project and then start your rendering!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
