I am keying footage in AE 6.5 and the final render looks a little pixelated; mostly around my subject’s face. My settings are set to “best” and I’m using the Quicktime DV NTSC 48kHz output module preset. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!!

Check your screen matte in keylight, (I’m assuming your using this plugin) make sure the face is totally white. Sometimes the key looks right on single frames but crawls later.

    good luck,

Actually, I’m just using the linear color key effect. The keyed edge looks fine, no “crawling”. It’s the details in her face (eyes, nose, etc.) that look bad. The closeups of her that I rendered look great, it’s only on the wide shots of her that look bad.
    Thanks Andrew!

Its probably a fields problem, Is the footage interlaced, if it is, you may need to set the fields up in the render dialogue. set the field order to lower first and then you should be able to get all your data in the face.
