  rendering XDCAM EX 1920×1080 dark

  I have footage from a Sony XDCAM EX1 and when I finally ouput, the quicktime looks darker than the original footage. Besides the XDCAM codec is there something else I should be doing in order for it not to look so dark?

  Another problem I’m having is it renders with a black border around the quicktime and I’ve even set the output settings for 1920×1080 but it still gives me the same problem.

  BTW, I’m using CS5 on an imac.
