  • Rendering WMV – videos start pixelated then smooth out.

Hello, I was wondering if I am missing something on my prepro settings when rendering WMV’s.
Other options like AVI, Flv, H.264 work fine but when rendering out a WMV and playing back the video starts very pixelated then smooths out.

I have tried everything at this point and the client can only accept WMV.

    Any tricks I should try?

    The sequence is 720p 29.97

sounds like the data rate is too low.

I will turn off variable and kick it up super high.
It’s only when rendering WMV’s and i have tried all the presets.
This just started happening – I’ll try to render something out in my old version of premiere and see what happens.

could it be some sort of codec problem? I do not have anything installed other than what came with win 7.

I’d leave it on variable bit rate.

wmv file sizes can get wildly out of control.

something around 900 – 1,200 kbps should create block free video.
