rendering with Vegas Pro 8.0c
I’ve rendered several videos in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0c before, never had an issue. Now, I’m creating a compilation DVD for a film festival that consists of 20 different film submissions. The 20 films are split into 2 95 minute disks. This is where my personal hell seems to begin.
A. At first it took 20 hours to attempt to render. I say attempt because, after watching the last 45 seconds tick away in anticipation, when it was complete it displayed a message that said an unknown error occurred and that the render failed.
– I had two solutions.
1. Get a new computer. A quad processor system cut the rendering time in half. Awesome.
Until it failed to render again.
B. I started a new project in Vegas and imported the original compilation Vegas project as media. Vegas seemed to render the video and again spit out an error message. The result was that there was no audio.
– That was no problem because I just rendered the audio and it went fine.
– Then I deleted the empty audio track and attempted to render the newly pre-rendered video. The process went from 11 to 18 hours. And then failed again.I don’t know what else to try.
Any suggestions anybody?
These 2 dvds need to be complete within a week and when I’m waiting a day at a time to find out that it isn’t working, I’m getting a little stressed.
Please help.
