Rendering with PNG slow
Hi there!
I’m trying to render some files from Adobe Premiere (either from Premiere itself or the media encoder). After some testing, I found out Adobe renders really fast in compressed formats like H.264 or uncompressed formats like a BMP sequence. The CPU cores are used at 100% for this.
As soon as I switch to something PNG (either an image sequence or in a QT container_, it becomes really slow (in comparission), and the CPU is only used for about 25%..
I’ve always liked PNG because it’s so versatile. What could be the reason it’s so slow?

500 GB SSD (system)
