So I shot a real flashy video in a club with lots of lights, shot with a Canon GL2 in .AVI For some reason when I render it to an .AVI or a .wmv I get these huge horizontal lines that cover one line of the screen. This does not appear in the timeline however. What is wrong with my export settings, it is set to best quality 1080×720 Progressive.

Your Canon is an interlaced standard def camcorder so why the render to a progressive HD size?

Actually you are right, I should have rendered to Interpolate correct?

You can render to progressive if you want but you won’t gain anything as your source footage is interlaced.
Try a render to plain old DV-AVI (use Best mode if you want to) and see if you still have the problem.

Yes, I still do have the problem.

Can you post a screen shot or two so that we can see what the problem looks like?
