Does anyone have any information about how to involve video adapter in rendering process?

I mean how to make Radeon 4850 for example (I have one) render Global Illumination and stuff like CPU does? Or is it just possible to speed up OpenGL renders and viewport priviews with $125 piece of junk?

Cinema doesn’t use the graphics adapter for GI. It’s just for lights, textures, shadows, etc. You can render it out by going to render settings>general and selecting “Hardware Preview”.

I see. Thanks for that info!

Pity that graphic cards render games, but don’t actualy help in rendering serious things in 3d apps… Marketing?.. 😉

I don’t think there are any games that do real-time GI, but I haven’t followed it recently so I could be mistaken.
