Rendering with AE a disaster
Hello all,
What can/should I adjust to make my AE render faster?
I made a 2 minute video (Videohive mosaic 7266788) with a 1920×1080 size. This consists of 100 photos (max 12MP), 1 single video (30 sec) and 1 audio track.
If I render this in MP4 (Media Encoder), the video stutters.
Now I am rendering this video in .MOV in AE. For my video of only 2 minutes (2965 frames), it has now been running for 22 hours and 10 minutes, or at least that is how it appears. It still has to render for exactly 8 seconds (200 frames).
If I look at the time he started rendering and add this 10 p.m., then that was more than 1 hour ago when this message was made.
When I look at the properties of the currently created video in Windows File Explorer, it was last changed about 20 minutes ago.
The expected time that rendering will take is 1 hour and 37 minutes. Yesterday afternoon (Dutch time) this was still 45 minutes.
Why is this taking so damn long?
I have already changed some preferences in AE:
This means that AE may use the maximum amount of RAM possible (58GB) and that no preview is visible during rendering. The strange thing is that it (see image) only uses 18% of the total RAM. Not the 58GB/90% he should be using.
All other programs, including background programs, are also closed.
It’s not my storage capacity either. Of my 2TB storage, 1.5TB is still available.
Who can help me?Or who knows what the best (and fastest) output is and the best settings for making a video without stuttering. It doesn’t matter which type of format, I can easily convert this to another file type
Thank youSander
PS. don’t look at the filename (test mp4.mov)
