  • Rendering to one track for DVD

I am doing a wedding slide show. I have it broken down into four sections; there are several tracks in each section. If I should render each section to one track and then render it too the DVD Architect, Would I lose quality in the pictures etc. I know that I can copy and paste. I would like to know this for my own information. I am using Sony Pro 8.
    Thanks
    Don

This is a perfect project for nesting.
Save each project as a separate veg file (i.e. wedding-1.veg, wedding-2.veg, etc.).
Start a new project and call it wedding-final.veg
Import each veg file, drop it on the timeline (this is called “nesting”) and render it to the desired format.
FYI, no matter how many tracks the original veg file had it will come in as a single video track and a stereo audio track.
If this is for a DVD and the whole thing is to played at once, then render it as is.
If you want each segment to be a separate chapter, drop a marker at the beginning of each segment and do what you want with it in DVD Architect.
If you’ve never done this before, have a look at my responses in the following thread as I go into it in great detail.

If the final project is less than 70 min. long, use a custom MPEG-2 CBR bitrate setting of 8,000,000 for your video. The default Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro setting is fine for your audio.
Give both files the same name and render them to the same folder. That way, when you load the video file into DVD Architect, the audio will automatically follow.

BTW, if you need to make a correction after you’ve assembled everything onto your timeline, right-click the appropriate veg file and select “Edit in Vegas (ProjectName.veg)”.
