In Vegas 9.0 Pro, I have tried to render a Quicktime .MOV 1920×1080 file to the Main Concept AVC (*mp4) format in the Default template with a custom setting of 1920×1080. There is a check box to select “Allow Source to Adjust Frame Size’ available. Without changing any other settings (except de-selecting the Render Audio box), Vegas closes both with the Adjust Frame Size selected or not selected. Can Vegas 9.0 Pro successfully render the above listed settings? Anyone?

Pretty sure there’s a “known issue” with Vegas v9 and MainConcept AVC, at a minimum with the 2-pass VBR, which I can verify does not work on my machine anyhow.

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully, a 9.0a update is just around the corner.

Dunno if v9a will fix your issue, but I just ran a quickie test of the MainConcept AVC 2-pass VBR and it worked. Nice!
