Rendering to an AVI File
Using Sony Vegas 6.0, I am trying to prepare a slide show consisting of only still pictures. The images I am using are of very high resolution (6-7 megapixels). When I try to render this slide show into an AVI file, Vegas freezes up after a few minutes. But it does not freeze up at the same exact point every time. The freeze occurs between 30% and 40% of the project. The project is about 6 minutes and has about 25 still pictures and an audio track as well. No special effects except pan and zoom and (sometimes) brightness/contrast control.
My system and other things are ok as I have used the same installation of Vegas to render other video and still images to make functioning DVDs. Is it the high resolution of pictures that Vegas is finding difficult to handle? Is there something I can do to overcome this problem?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
