  • Rendering Title Safe Grid in AE 6.5

I need to render a Quicktime and preferably have the Title Safe Grid visible in the Quicktime. I need to send it to a client so she can see what I mean when certain elements fall outside of Action Safe. Is there any way to do this in AE 6.5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would take a screenshot of a comp with the title safe grid on > crop in photoshop > reimport it as a top layer of your movie (opacity brought down) or key out the black.

How many times have I had this exact conversation with clients?

I have a PSD of a titlesafe area that I can send to you, if you provide your email address. It may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but can easily be modified.

Just make some masks (on a solid) that match the safe lines, then apply effect>render>stroke to that solid, set to “all masks”. Render.
