Rendering Time — is this right?
Hi Again,
I think this is my last question for the day:
I am using several effects on a project. Sometimes I don’t even need to render it high res, I just need to know what it looks like in general, to get a sense of it, and then tweak some more.
The way that I have found to get round the incredible render time in 1080i 8bit, is to:
1. go to my sequence settings, change the render quality to 33 %
2. add my effects and render
3. decide on whether I like it or not.
4. prepare my final cut
5. Go to the render manager and take all the render files offline
6. go back to the sequence settings and set it to 100 %
7. re render everything*** I’ve noticed that the picture looks bad at 33 % render quality when I play it back on my computer moniter. But when it plays bck on my HD monitor, it looks great
— Do I still need to rerender? Especially if I’m taking that sequence and generating a mpeg2 for dvd?*** Why is it that when I copy the files in the 33 % timeline to the 100 % timeline, it doesn’t want to rerender? That’s why I have to go to the render manager and make this offline myself….
