    Hi.

I’m not really like new into video editing, but mostly I just edit DV footage to PAL DV widescreen, but now I’ve got a little problem.

I’ve been editing this project, and ive got mixed footage. Like I’ve got the DV footage, and I’ve got this HD footage of a football match I downloaded. The footage was originally in mkv format but I enocded it to Avi footage 50 fps.

When I do render in Pal widescreen, the HD footage obviously dont look as good as it can do, I am therefor wondering what sort of rendering setting I can use to get the best possible rendering outcome by both sets of footage. The HD footage does look very good when I do render it in HD, but the DV footage looks kind of unclear and so on. I do understand the 25 fps footage will look bad when rendering 50fps, just wondered if theres any way of achieving the best possible rendering outcome…

    Another thing

Does the GPU acceleration feature only work when rendering avc, or does it simply increase the rendering speed and overall editing with for exampel Pal Widescreen?

    Awaiting replies, thank you.

I hope someone answers you. I find myself in the same situation shooting 1080p footage along with regular DV footage. I’m not sure what settings to use in the project as well as for rendering to DVDA to complete a video that can be shown as close to high def as possible on a stand alone DVD player in the United States.
