    Hey guys,
I film using a Canon Hv20, a HD camcorder, and I do like to use youtube to upload my videos. I’ve tried a couple of settings but youtube like to mess it up alot. I typically use Mainconcept mp4, 2m bps, 640×480 for youtube. It looks quite good in the computer but not very good in youtube.
I want to know how to get the best quality out of a video while keeping the size relatively small – about 20mb/minute maximum, for youtube.

Also, I tried to upload my videos is larger resolution in MP4, such as 1280 x 720, my VLC have weird lines and makes it looks really ugly, and the picture lags alot as well. My shutter speed is 120, and didnt check the “allow source to adjust frame rate” option and render it in 25fps (from 50i). What could be the cause of this then?

Out of curiousity, what settings do you guys use to export your video for viewing purposes on your computer (with relatively good quality and reasonable file size)?

    Thanks in advance.
