Rendering Red 4 inside Media 100HD
In V11.5.1 – Created comp clip in V track with video below in the a/b video tracks. Opened comp clip in Red 4.0, replaced media (in default text track) with video from V track, applied blur (seeing result on TX monitor & viewer window), all seems fine here. Then clicked apply (switches back to M100) apply again in edit suite, then render. Renders black? No video? Yet it all showed fine while in Red?
Any ideas please.G5 dual 2.7, OS10.4.8, 4G RAM
Media100 HD V11.5 & Producer, AE 7

(Perhaps pay more attention to Kieran and topher than some of my dodgier comments)In my experience, it turned out to be that the default text track was giving a solid black background instead of showing the video beneath.
I just got rid of it, and put any video on a new video track.
But I have M100 7.5 on OS9 and Boris FX 6.01
So it may be something different. -
Just not happening for me. Maybe I’m not doing it the same way as you. Can you be more specific about your steps?
Also, what “point-version” of Red do you have? Get Info on the filter in MacHD/Applications/Media 100 Folder/Filters.
