Rendering R3D files to Prores Proxies using Media Encoder?
I need some help!
I need to render proxies from 5K Epic files. I made a watch folder with all presets for Prores Proxy HD. When I copied the R3D files to the watch folder, only the first of the spanned media got converted properly. Files were for example A001R001xxxxxx.001.R3D … 002.R3D….003.R3D etc.
Usually the 002 and following media were improperly rendered.
When I dropped the same files directly into Media Encoder, they were properly rendered (except 2) but appeared as single files instead of spanned media; 001,002,003 should all come together is a single Quicktime instead of three, it was one long take. What am I doing wrong? Is Media Encoder the right tool to do this?
I am working on a MacPro 32GB but no Red card installed. I need to give the Quicktimes to outside editor, my Premiere can handle R3D files OK.Last question; where do I access the R3D settings (if at all possible in Premiere?)
