Rendering Problems With Sony Vegas Pro 8.0
Hello everyone, i am new to the forums and was just hoping if i could figure out this problem i’m having with Sony Vegas Pro 8.0.
I’ve been using it for about a 2 weeks now and everything has been going well, until suddenly when i tried to render my project into wmv format, like usual, it seems to not complete. As in, i get different error messages every now and then. Such as:
“An error occurred while creating the media file ___________.
The reason for the error could not be determined.”And i’m pretty sure a few others when i try to render in different methods. The weird part is when i try to render any other project to wmv, it works fine. Or when i try to render small parts of this project it works but when i try to render the parts back together it fails.
So pretty much i can’t seem to render my project into wmv format. It’s about 1.34 GB, my largest project so could the size be the cause? Because i would hate for that to be the reason. Sorry if this is too long or not much detailed, i’m not really a computer expert or anything. I just use Sony Vegas to upload videos on Youtube.

Nevermind i figured out a way passed it, i imported my project into sony vegas 9 platnium (Because i said my sony vegas 8 can render as avi just not wmv) then i just rendered it into wmv from there and it worked!

Minor nitpick, but WMV (and MPEG) are encoded, not rendered, despite that Sony put them into the “Render As” menu.
