rendering problems
I am working with premier pro 1.5
I am having problems to render sequences. There doesn’t seem to be any logic. Sometimes it renders without a problem and sometimes not. if it cannot render then i cannot make an avi file either.
Any ideas how to solve this problem??

When was the last time you did a clean install?

My computer is used only for editing movies. I don’t have on it anything except the movie I am working on – and not even the original avi or jpg files are there, but on an external hard disc.
However, since i wrote, i think i have solved the problem, at least partially. The trick is to render only parts of the sequence every time – marking the unrendered part as the work area – and then the render is done on only a small segment of the sequence at a time. |This seems to work, meanwhile… it must be some kind of bug in the software. -
There is no bug in the software.
Using a external HDD can cause problems. Move the files to an internal drive and try again.
A pc can go off after sometime even if its only used for video-editing. So ones in a while when things do not run very well a clean install is in order.
