I’ve got the latest FCP, running on a dual 2.0ghz G5.

For some reason, rendering a sequence is just stopping randomly, without any error message. I have autorender set to 1 minute, and even autorendering won’t get through a sequence.

I tried various codecs, including mjpeg, sheer, ensharpen (screen shot based), and none will get through it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Tossing prefs may work, but if it doesn’t then you likely have a corrupt clip or project. If it’s the first, the way to find out is go through the timeline and select the clips one at a time. Hit command r to render only that clip. keep going till you find the bad one(s). If it’s a bad project, make a new one and copy and paste everything in your browser and timeline into it.

I have had this problem twice and the first solution worked both times.

    Have a wonderful day.
