    I’m a novice cinema 4d user and i am using cinema 4d xl 7.303. I am trying to render out an animated logo and bring it into after effects 6.5. i cant seem to render out just the spinning logo so there is no black background when i bring it in after effects. is this an easy question? can anyone help me out? thanks alot in advance everyone!

    You need to check off Alpha in the Render Settings

    hey brian i really appreciate your time, but i do in fact have “alpha channel” selected in the “save column” of the “render settings”and it still doesnt seem to be working. is there another corresponding setting im missing? thanks again buddy!

    Alpha works as long as there is nothing behind the object you want “alpha’d”. If it’s just your object no background objects that’s not it. Otherwise it has to be to format which will hold an alpha, of course…

    I always save my movies using the the ANIMATION codec, Millions + colors. The “+” enables you to include an alpha channel in the quicktime movie…as long as you have ALPHA checkmarked….works every time.
