Rendering only one part
Posted by Steve Edwards on July 27, 2009 at 11:43 pmI have a whole project ready to render, but right now I would like to just render the end of the project, meaning the credits only. How can I just render the credits now.

July 28, 2009 at 1:12 amOh, other question was should I render to avi or mpeg2. I thought that I read somewhere that if you re-render mpeg2 a second time you may lose some quality. Once project is done, I will put into Adobe Encore DVD. So when I render project, should I save as avi, and let Encore encode the project, or go ahead and render as mpeg2 anyway. I usually go ahead and render in mpeg2, then load into Encore.

July 28, 2009 at 2:32 amJust make sure not to select “render loop region only” the next time you render.
This feature can be turned off if you want to.
Options – Prefs – Editing – deselect “Collapse loop region when no time selection is present”. -

July 28, 2009 at 2:36 amSteve, I use DVD Architect to do all my DVD Authoring and I always give it fully compliant MPEG-2 and AC-3 streams.
I have no idea what the requirements are for Encore so I won’t bother suggesting something that might be incorrect.
