  • Rendering NTSC HD as PAL

    Hello,

I am working on a project for a large video wall in NTSC 29.97 fps Progressive with a canvas of 4092×1188. I had a clutch of video sources and I plumbed for 29.97 based on majority wins plus I wanted to achieve a smooth scroll of background animation.

Anyway I probably digress…I understand that to avoid Judder the playback device video card and refresh rate of the LCD/Plasma screens need to be taken into account. So I want/need to deliver a version of my file in PAL 25 fps and I am trying to work out the best approach. Trying to keep it simple…so will it suffice to simply change the render output settings to PAL 25fps? I am importing my composition into Adobe Media Encoder and outputting an H264.

If it helps, here are the words of wisdom from Scala – the software that will be running the show:

    Any tips appreciated.

    Thanks
